year2quitIf quitting smoking is high on your agenda this year, your chances of succeeding are higher than ever. Our wide variety of smoking cessation aids are designed to help you quit the habit as painlessly as possible so that you can count on being smoke-free by the time 2015 rolls around.

In Canada, quitting smoking is the second most popular New Year’s resolution after losing weight. It is closely followed by sticking to a budget, and saving more money.

Quitting smoking can literally support both resolutions—saving you a lot of money over a year. Unfortunately however, only 50 per cent of Canadians stick to their resolution/s beyond one month, and only 19 per cent make it until year’s end.

We at London Drugs want you to be successful in your efforts to quit smoking. We understand that it is not easy and many of us have been personally challenged by giving up the habit. On these pages, we hope to provide you with the information you need to give up smoking once and for all. As a result, you will have cleaner lungs, fresher, more youthful skin, and improved overall health.

Each year, more than 45,000 Canadians die from tobacco use while hundreds of thousands suffer from smoking-related diseases including heart disease, bronchitis, emphysema and cancers of the lung, mouth and voice box.

Given the choice, most smokers would want to quit because most people are aware of the grave impact smoking has on health and well being. But nicotine is highly addictive, and quitting is not easy.
